1. The short version
Legion of the Sands (legionofthesands.com) is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no payment details (because nothing is ever for sale), no advertising networks and no analytics trackers. What remains is small: a couple of entries in your own browser, and any message you choose to send us.
2. Information stored in your browser
The Site keeps a small number of entries in your browser's local storage. These stay on your device — they are not transmitted to us and we cannot read them remotely:
- a record that you confirmed you are 18 or older, so the welcome gate doesn't reappear on every visit;
- your storage preference (“Accept All” or “Essential Only”);
- if you accepted all storage, the game's display and sound preferences where applicable.
You can delete these at any time by clearing site data for legionofthesands.com in your browser settings. See Cookies & Storage for plain-language instructions.
3. Information you send us
If you contact us by email or via the contact page (which simply opens your own email application — we collect nothing in the background), we receive whatever you choose to include: typically a name, an email address and your message. We use it solely to respond to you. We do not add you to mailing lists, and we do not share your correspondence with third parties except where the law requires it.
4. What we never collect
- No payment or banking information — the Site has nothing to sell.
- No identity documents — age confirmation is a self-declaration stored locally on your device.
- No behavioural tracking, advertising profiles or analytics identifiers.
- No information about minors — the Site is for adults 18+ only.
5. Hosting and technical data
Like virtually every website, our hosting infrastructure may momentarily process technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not use this data to identify or profile visitors.
6. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you (for most visitors: none beyond any emails you've sent), request corrections, or ask us to delete correspondence. Write to support@legionofthesands.com and we'll sort it out.
7. Changes to this policy
If our practices change, this page will change with them and the “last updated” date will be revised. Significant changes will be flagged on the Site.
8. Contact
Privacy questions are welcome at support@legionofthesands.com or via our contact page.
